More humus - a contribution to climate protection?
09.12.2009Does organic cultivation increase humus contents in arable land? Does biodynamic farming in this regard have a stronger impact than other methods of organic farming? Does the increase of humus contents bring a noticeable exoneration from carbon dioxide for the atmosphere? And, does biodynamic agriculture in this way make an important contribution to mitigation of climate change?
The research team for long-term experiments at IBDF Darmstadt (Germany) edited a leaflet which deals with these questions based on results of long-term experiments in Europe and North America.
The leaflet is offered as a PDF file (both in a German and English version) under
